Power-Endurance

I blew up.  Totally blew up.

The workout as written was supposed to be:
50 Pull Up - 15 strict unbroken
80 push ups - 40 strict unbroken
Then:
"Jonesworthy"
Squats 80-72-64-48-32-24-12
KBS 40-36-32-24-16-12-6
Pull Ups 20-18-16-12-8-6-3
Then:
60' Row at easy pace

What actually happened is I set up the rower and just sat down and started rowing without thinking.  I got about 45 min into the piece and realized what I had done.  I would not be able to finish the Power-endurance work.  I finished out the row at my slow pace, tried to recover and thought that I could just do it anyway not that fast.  I finished the pull ups, then failed to hit my mark on the push-ups.  I was actually very upset with myself.  40 push ups should not be this tough to do.  I hit 30.  Finished out the 80 in broken sets of what ever I could do trying not to dig into the hole too much on each set.  Then I started Jonesworthy.  Total failure.  Round 1 went ok, unbroken up the pull ups, and I broke those up into 2 sets.  Round 2 I went unbroken on the squats, 3 sets on the KBS, and the pull ups...miserable performance, sets of 4 I think.  Round three I was totally gassed.  I did maybe half of the squats and then gave into the negotiations.  I quit.

I learned, or at least reminded myself, that steady state endurance work MUST come AFTER the other stuff.  Warm up with the push/pull combo, hit the other stuff hard and fast, THEN do steady state.  I knew all of this going into it but just went into autopilot and messed it up.

I'm trying not to beat myself up for quitting and I think I'm doing ok.  Lesson learned, steady state after or at least 5 hours to rest between the two.
