Various things in the gym today demonstrating warm ups, agility practice, etc.
Then:
Tabata Thrusters with 15# db.
I work up extremely tired today. I think the workout from last night dug a deep inroad and I'm paying the price. I decided to go easier and tomorrow do some heavy front squats.
I got about 10 reps per round until the last couple, I dropped to about 9. I think the 15# made a large difference in terms of endurance but not in terms of speed per rep which makes me think that I don't know how much fast I could go in a 20 sec period so the only way to increase the intensity of this little gem is to add more weight. I suppose if I could get it up to 135# and do 8-10 reps per round I'm pretty good. Maybe I should think about adding 5# per week or something to see what happens?
My brother asked me to write him a program for his triathlons and I'm shocked by it. I have been secretly hoping for it, but now that he's asked, I'm nervous. I want it to be perfect for him, but I know that that is impossible and at best we program and adjust as things develop.
I never thought my own fitness would be so tough to maintain if I owned a gym!
