Power-Endurance

Today was a "power-endurance day."  For the this cycle all power-endurance days are going to be named CrossFit WODs.  The first 6 girls to be more exact; Angie, Barbara, Chelsea, Diane, Elizabeth and Fran.  These are tests and workouts at the same time.  They are markers and repeated every so often to compare myself with over time.

Power endurance is a term I picked up from Mark at Gym Jones and it refers to workouts that are up to 30 min in duration.  They are usually part oxygen and part glycolytic to fuel the workout which makes them hurt pretty bad.  Especially if you don't have much in the way of either two energy systems.

Today was also day 2 of the tabata testing.  So my workout was Tabata Row, followed by Angie

The row looked like this:

Avg of 1:32.2/500m for the 7 rounds.

Fell off a bit on round 6 to 1:35.2 but brought it home in 1:32.5

I am a bit faster than my required 1:34 which is a good thing I think.  My first row I have a hard time judging how hard I should be working so I tend to over shoot the mark out of fear I will set a slow pace and be stuck for the remainder of the set.
Angie right after really hurt.  I was very slow at Angie which consists of 100 pull ups, 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats for time.  It took me 32 min and change and I felt on the verge of vomit the entire time.  It has also been some time since my last power-endurnace workout too so I'm wondering how much that has impacted my performance.
